Killiecrankie doublet

Doublet of slashed cream silk. Stand up collar with long sleeves. Buttons down front with one row of silk bound, round wooden buttons. A row of 12 similar buttons fasten cuffs. High waist with deep "v" at front and and flaps all round. Cream silk braid for decoration. This doublet is an extremely rare survivor from the 17th century.
