Head of Man

With the exception of Fergusson's self portrait (1992.416), this modest head is the only known example of a male portrait bust. In keeping with his paintings, Fergusson focused his work almost exclusively on youthful, female subjects after settling in Paris in 1907. The man portrayed is unidentified.
